Goodbye My Lover Poem by Fagbeyide Kehinde John

Goodbye My Lover

/Goodbye my lover /

We've come far too close,
To sound a goodbye note
On stage of a once bright begining,
Diminishing into ugly notes of unlawful hate,
Sounding a stranger's voice like the afore,
Just a little more chance
And we'll turn it out right again;
Night and days of shining smile
Defined the first appearing,
Before it turned out a sour meeting,
These hearts will still go on,
So sad, we now should stop,
While in your dreams
Do not forget me!
