Goodnight Poem by crazy sweep

They say distance makes the heart grow fonder
but i realise it means its ok to live in a dream
as that means when you are not with me
i can fall asleep to where the grass stays green

We run towards each other in a flourishing field
like we are the lead stars in an indian tale
and if you were to ever fall in the overgrowth
to see you, the depths i would sail

Alas i wake up and realise you are not here
but i smile knowing we are a day closer to unite
missing your scent still burns my chest
but to keep you in my heart is worth the fight

So as i look up at the moon
I think what a beautiful sight
All i need to make this night perfect
is your kiss goodnight
