Graduation Poem by Jacqui Steele

I have my dress, I have my shoes
I guess I have nothing to lose
It is soon going to say good-bye
But I will never let my friendships die

It does not seem like long ago
That we were just going with the flow
It is soon going to be time when we all have to part
And we will have to go back to the start

Graduation has finally come
Now it feels kinda dumb
That we all have to leave
We even had to write down our pet peeves
Next year will I have time to spend
Will I ever have time to tend
To that friendship that might soon some to an end

As I sit here wondering about my past
I can’t remember what happened last
I guess that means my friendships are lost
For this must have been the horrible cost
In the past I thought he was the key
But now I see...he was wrong for me
