Graduation Grief Poem by kai kaiser

Graduation Grief

Somedays the greif weighs a bit heavier

Days when you remember that at graduation their name will only be spoken following the words

'In loving memory of'

Their cap and gown will lie vacant on it's hanger

Their names became carved onto headstones before they could be printed onto a diploma

Through their chair will remain empty, their grave site will be full

And though they will never walk across the stage, wearing their cap and gown, holding a diploma with their name printed on it

They will never be forgotten
