Graffiti: The Stories Of Life Poem by Sanjib Saha

Graffiti: The Stories Of Life

'Graffiti: The Stories of Life'

Someone said graffiti is a person who writes the stories of life.
Yes, the stories of life.
That's how graffiti is born
on the streets.
Candles burn, hands paint
with colors,
and red splatters on the palms
and fingers.

I've heard human blood
can also be blue - blue blood!
Those with such prestige
don't touch the ground.
They have no feet, heart, brain,
or spine
to walk the ordinary paths of life.

Yet, some still write stories,
words bursting forth like fireworks.
The air shines with light
in the explosion of their words.
Those who take to the streets
find solace in the path itself.

Come, Mother,
leave your life behind -
in your illusion,
a thousand lamps burn,
and a hundred slogans
are etched on the walls.
