Grains Of Sand Poem by Amal Alawar

Grains Of Sand

For years I walked the paths of life 🛤️
Some roads were more like a carving knife 🔪
They left their marks on my mind and soul
Etched some memories with burning coal 🔥
Long time ago... I was a kid
Like a dandelion afraid of wind 🌬️
The wind blew hard and I was whirled 🌀
Before I made a wish I surfed the world 🌍
I crossed the seas to the land of the dreams🗽
To know later on it's not what it seems
On every corner I heard a blowing horn 📯
Asking me where I was born? ! ! !
I looked around and looked above
Wondered if the question carried any love⁉️
It was a probe to lay a brand 🚫
Forgetting we're all but grains of sand...
