Grandmas Old And Grey

Grandmas Old And Grey
By Paul McCann

Grandma said,
“My oh my you’re growing up so fast.
I never even noticed but the years have gone so fast.“
The she said,
“I love you”
Her voice was kind of sweet.
A tear rolled down her wrinkled face
And landed at my feet.
Her feeble hands were shaking
As she touched my face.
“I’m not long for this world “
She said.
”I’m not long for this place.”
Her pains are getting worse,
a little more each day.
Its hard when you feel young at heart
But.look so old and grey
