Great Day - Poem by Dave Wheeler
A glare across a smokey room
at a stranger that has appeared
the clocks will stop, your heart will boom
as you walk with nervous fear
And as you approach your mouth goes dry,
just from thinking what you could say.
its like being in heaven up in the sky,
this could be the most beautiful day.
If things goes well, you will never know,
this stranger could make it right in your life.
and if years down the line it will show,
they could even be your husband or wife.
But first you need to be brave
to walk up and just say hi, how are you to day
if they smile then you know you been save
so you tell me how wonderful and great was that first day
