Grief - Limerick Poem by Don Pearson

Grief - Limerick

(for Mary Elms and Chris Brooks)

She lies, arms enfolding her head,
Bewildered, half-dressed on the bed.
In a void that feels vast,
Eclipsed by the past,
All dreams of a future seem dead.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I could see no reason why limerick form should be exclusively used for humour.
