Growing Pain



i'm growing
long hair again

tho barely a fringe
of what it was
back in those days
when

the coloratura of
a squeaky shampoo
serenaded these
now pitiful roots

and hot men
lashed it
to my ankles
to celebrate
the fear in my eyes
