Growing Up Poem by Hannah Boggs

Growing Up

When you grow up and put away childish things
You come to realize that you have to accept what you have if life
with the grace of an adult
and not look at it through the eyes of a child
You come to realize you have to learn to drive on the roads of today
not on the roads of tomorrow
beause you never know when it might rain
And when you do get stuck in the rain
Learn to dance
beacuse too much sunshine can burn if you get too much
You learn to plant your own garden, instead of waiting around for flowers
You learn to deal with the cards you have been dealt in life, and keep a poker face
And realize that if you just open your eyes yo what you do have not what you dont, life has worth
