Hallowed One Poem by Leslie Xavier

Hallowed One

I barely know your smile,
nor have I felt the flowing river, your spirit.
But I feel you made them all - the gloomy,
the young and old, to your right and left;
to stop a while and laugh with you,
and dance to a tune they never knew.
Those hurried visits, calling your friend;
and everything good will be missed.
But don't you know you're hallowed for life;
not by the name, royalty, you happen to share,
but by the grace, the goodness in you;
you'll be loved wherever you go.
