Happier Dead Than Alive Poem by Amy Stuart

Happier Dead Than Alive

Rating: 5.0

I'd wake in early morning thoughts,
wishing of 500 Watts,
a pain to maybe go right through,
and make me forget all about you,
you were my only one true love,
you're thoughts were way high up above,
you never did once like to see,
you were never in love with broken me,
after years of broken dreams,
shattered hearts, and ripped up seams,
i tired of the darkened life,
i went out searching for a knife,
i found one on the cupboards edge,
before i die I'll make a pledge,
I'd stand before the mirror and say,
this image haunts me every day,
one deep breath, my arm then shot,
that knife into my own weak spot,
with my final gasps of air,
i whispered, hope I'm happy there.
