There she was, just sitting there
As lovely as the evening rain coated with love
She beamed in beauty that is mysteriously beautiful
As white as pure as the purest dove

She spoke and smiled and laughed she did
A childlike soul within the soulful wise
I listened; I tasted, to her bittersweet
Life she waded through stormy nights

I gazed into her poignant moonlike eyes
As restful as the calmness after the storm
While asking myself of these unjust circumstances
Wondering how far her lost soul had roamed

“Happiness is just a beach upon a moonless night”
Was her only perception of an insightful reality
Knowing that soon day will come into sight
And a different color of the sand is what we’ll see
