Happy First My Baby Poem by Sharada KC

Happy First My Baby

Happy first birthday, my dear son.

When I carried you in my tummy,
butterflies lived inside me.
Your tiny kicks filled my heart with joy,
little reminders that you were already strong.

You came early—
and the world was not ready for you,
but you were ready to fight.
Through every hardship, every pain,
you held on.

I doubted you.
I was scared, I was weak,
my thoughts turned dark with fear.
But you turned them all around—
you proved me wrong
with every breath you took.

My warrior.
My champion.
Thank you for fighting so hard.

Your first smile,
your crawl,
your little screams,
and your tiny wobbly steps
are healing the wounds and the trauma
we walked through together.

The guilt still lives quietly in my heart—
you didn't choose this battle,
yet you chose to fight it.
And you won.

I was terrified of losing you,
but you held on for us,
as if you already knew
you would win—for us.

Thank you, my champion,
my miracle,
for coming into our lives,
our dear, sweet baby.

Happy first birthday, my dear son.
I love you—always.
