Harakiri Poem by Nicholas Peter

Harakiri

Don't bring dishonor,
no matter what you do,
don't bring dishonor.

Your life is a marionette's joke,
a fool on a string,
don't disappoint us boy.

Shut up and do as your told,
these pills make it easy,
just smile.

Maybe the samurai had it wrong,
maybe honor wasn't worth it,
now that the boy is gone.
