Hark How The Tones Poem by Thomas Nedzbala

Hark How The Tones

A touching version of 'Carol of the Bells' by Mykola Leontovych & Peter Wilhousky. A warm tribute to all 911 dispatchers.

Hark! how the tones
Sweet annoying tones
All seem to say,
'Do What Dispatch Says.'
The call is near
You're the closest there
Lights flash red & blue
Unless going code-2
Ring, ding, ding, ding
The phones start to sing
That's our 911 tone
Everyone is quick to grab the phone

Giving instructions to all
No matter what type of call
Keep caller on the phone
So they know they're not alone
Enter the call
Make sure the units got it all
Document as things change
Everyone on the same page
In minutes it's been a few
The arrival of the crews.
The call comes to an end
Your ready for the next one again
Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring 911
Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring 911

Oh the tones that we send
On without end
Those joyful tones
To fire station's home
<Repeat from the beginning>
Ring, Ring, Ring, Dong
