Harry Kane...Hold My Hand... Poem by P A Noushad ...

Harry Kane...Hold My Hand...

My grandfather, my father, my brother..the stars of my childhood sky,
Three innocent souls who gave the poor their love, yet could not survive.
I watched their worlds grow dark while I was still a child,
And wondered why pure hearts must suffer in a world so wild...

Relatives wove their cunning webs around the homes they owned,
While generous hearts gave everything, then suffered all alone...
Food, shelter, care, and medicine..still, nothing was enough,
More pilgrimages, costly rituals, more burdens cruel and rough...

Blind faith became a mountain that crushed the human mind,
I sought the light of knowledge, another world to find...
With education as my weapon, I became a teacher of the world,
And my beloved students' love became a flag of hope unfurled...

I wrote my English poems, and distant voices heard my name,
Across the oceans, words of thought breathed courage into flame...
In youth, Buckingham Palace brought recognition from Queen Elizabeth the Second,
A royal ray of encouragement, a dream I had never imagined...

At Vatakara, the British Deputy High Commissioner honoured my way,
A precious light of recognition that still shines in me today.
Kerala's Best Teacher Award crowned years of service and care,
A tribute to the countless young dreams I helped prepare...

I ran upon the world's great tracks, a Masters athlete bold,
And FIFA's invitation in 2022 became a dream of gold...
I walked through Oxford's halls, where minds seek wisdom's light,
And Cambridge opened windows to knowledge vast and bright...

I visited the BBC News office, where stories cross the sea,
Each journey whispered softly, "There is still more life in thee."
To Shakespeare's house and grave I returned, inspired by his art,
His timeless words became a lamp that illuminated my heart...

My name appeared among the poets whose words had crossed the sea,
Yet even recognition could not set my troubled spirit free.
Like those I loved, I stood where darkness whispered, "Fall, "
Then England opened doors of hope, and I rose beyond it all...

Its people gave me honour; its kindness touched my soul,
And football became the music that kept me moving towards my goal...
Messi, Harry Kane..you inspire the dreams I cannot hide,
My FIFA World Cup song went viral, carrying hope worldwide...

A song for love beyond all borders, for humanity to stand as one,
A dream beneath the countless stars, beneath one universal sun.
But my wife and children, my strength, my home, remain far away,
And visa walls divide the hearts that help me face each day...

Dear Harry Kane, dear England, hear the truth my tears impart:
I thirst for one small virtue, and a chance to keep my heart...

Harry Kane...Hold My Hand...
