Hate Affair Poem by Tanner Herndon

Hate Affair

You left us all cold,
In a hurry, you were, to arrive at
Death's door step,
You mustn't trip on the way there,
You died with your shoelaces untied,
I took you to the hospital,
And reviving you wasn't quite working,
You passed,
And as did my love for all,
A pit, covered in poison, sat lodged in my heart,
I am now a toxic piece of meat,
I cried for an hour in the car,
With my t-shirt in the exhaust pipe,
I didn't even get tired, I just puked in the parking lot,
I came home, carrying blood shot eyes,
And a migraine,
You cheated on me with Death,
And you left me cold and alone,
But at least the coffee is still warm.
