Hate Won'T Make It Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Hate Won'T Make It

Point at nobody your finger
Think every day anew
If but for a short time linger
Suppose that someone's you

When on that same measure God judges
When life's sought course, is run
When God's verdict never budges
Will you, life's crown have won?

When devils taunt, people tease us
When friends and neighbours stray
What on earth would be thinking Jesus
When backbiting, some day

Amongst cousins, sisters, brothers
Accusations take place
Children fight father and mother
Finding there no disgrace

Demonic hate's abounding now
Frequent as common dirt
Where foolish pride refuses to bow
Beyond when someone's hurt

Not even death, will hate sever
Leaking into the grave
Where in the ever and ever
No time remains to save

Hate's only remedy is love
Forgiveness deep and true
Prescribed, commanded high above
For me my friend and you

Revealed The Lord God in my life
Guilty of all above
To flee from hell, from Heaven's strife
Live out this life, in love.....
