He’ll Judge In Righteousness (3) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

He’ll Judge In Righteousness (3)

You’ll lose, and not just for a while
But through the end of time
Then all you’ve won, is Satan’s smile
For all your senseless crime

Of Satan’s schemes take no more part
Repent of all things vile
Allow God’s word within your heart
To guide you through each trial

God gives us strength where ere He can
Through faith He’ll vanquish doubt
Yet judges cannot help a man
For that’s what law’s about

Who have no thought from Christ to stray
No sin from God to hide
To loving arms on judgement day
We’ll walk with Christ inside

Each selfish act, each evil deed
To God we’ve all confessed
Who’ve truly followed Jesus’ lead
Will pass the Judge’s test

For sins confessed, when books are read
Cannot be brought again
When self, through Jesus cross is dead
The sentence should be plain

When in white robes our eyes can see
Before God’s throne of light
Then man and Judge will both agree
God’s wisdom proves Him right

In truth! God’s church can dance and sing
In Christ, her joy display
For what else can life’s judgement bring?
To those who now obey…
