He Never Poem by Debra Middaugh

He Never

I lost my wife,
She ran away and it changed my life.

I can doctor the wound, I can not conceal the scar,
No matter what I do it's just under par.

She is with a good friend of mine,
He never complains, cries or whines.

I was tossed to the side like a piece of trash,
They were slithering like snakes in the grass.

Neither concerned about what happens to me,
They can't see the things that I see.

These emotions roll thru me and turn into a fire of rage,
I see red all pumped-up and I want to engage.

I want them to experience my pain,
Their in love building castles in Spain,
He never cries, whines or complains…..
