Hear Me Poem by Dashaun Rashod Snipes

Hear Me

Rating: 5.0

Hear me, oh dear listener,
As I pour out my soul,
A mix of emotions,
That's taking its toll.
From fear to anger,
From sorrow to elation,
My heart is a battlefield,
A constant rotation.
I demand an ear,
An open heart, an open mind,
To hear my story,
To understand the bind.
For I am human,
And emotions run deep,
But sometimes they overwhelm,
And I struggle to keep.
Hear me when I'm weary,
And my tears start to fall,
Be my rock, my support,
In this emotional brawl.
Hear me when I'm happy,
And my laughter rings loud,
Share in my joy,
Be a part of my crowd.
Hear me when I'm angry,
And my words lash out,
But beneath the rage,
Lies a hurt and doubt.
Hear me when I'm lost,
And my heart feels so heavy,
Guide me, reassure me,
Help me see clearly.
Hear me when I'm lonely,
And the silence is deafening,
Your presence is all I need,
To keep me from crumbling.
But alas, hear me now,
In this final plea,
For I am tired,
Of begging on my knees.
As I take my last breath,
And my voice fades away,
Hear me, just one last time,
Before I bid goodbye.
Hear me, oh dear listener,
For I am just like you,
Full of emotions,
And I needed you too.
Hear me, hear me, hear me,
For I am just a human,
With a mix of emotions,
That sometimes gets too consuming.
