Grieved and alone, they moan.
Their complaints, a cry to atone.
But you don't understand their tone
Until they're heard and made known.
They yearn for you to lend an ear,
To listen closely and banish fear.
They want you to care, to truly see,
And protect their heart's vulnerability.
Your empathy, a shelter from pain,
A refuge where their fears can wane.
By listening, you show you're near,
And in your care, their hearts are clear.
