I woke up today
knowing quite well that you weren’t there.
Here I was, on my own,
needing you here, next to me.
Morning light had not yet arrived
and from the window
I could still see the full moon.
All at once
I got the strangest sensation
and knew that you were staring
at that very same moon.
Feeling lonely for your physical presence,
I climbed out of bed
and opened the window.
Taken over by the pre-dawn air,
still visible stars made me
yearn for you even more.
Got a feeling for you.
Got to have you here.
Half out the window, just before dawn,
I had this longing for you.
A feeling of love took over me.
A feeling of love never felt before by
the heart of man.
Oh Lord! Let me feel love
never felt before by
the heart of man.
I want to keep this feeling
inside of me.
Let me keep that love inside.
Love never felt before by
the heart of man.
Oh Lord!
