You led me on,
You told me lies,
You broke my heart
And left me to cry.

All alone,
You never cared,
My heart was torn,
Beyond repair.

I once was your life,
All you dreamed of,
But you have changed,
As I remain in love.

But even though you hurt me,
Even knowing all you put me through,
Still I'm captivated by your smile,
I realize I can't stay mad at you.

Baby one day I'll get through this,
Seeing your picture I'll no longer weep,
But that day hasn't arrived yet,
So now I cry myself to sleep.
