Hearts Sweat Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Hearts Sweat

Fingers dripping into her surface
Kiss the inevitable breaking down
Of who he was, into who she is
Hear what he says, feel what she says
They won’t make the bed, no
Sentimental, true and with warmth
The minutes have created a storm
Both of their beating hearts sweat
