Heaven's Smile Poem by SORBARI BOHR

Heaven's Smile

I saw the pleasure of the heavens
When a rainbow showed up in the clattering of the skies
Bringing forth a calm to the thunder of hooves
Causing a great stare at the lowlands of Bunu

Her hands span east to west
Welcoming to her bosom a homeless stallion
So the cold of the storm may not consume
Blanketing him with her warmth

Her smiles evaporate the smoke of my breath
Leaving behind whispers and echoes of love
I saw tablets of white rocks in her jaws
That takes away the pain of a daylong ramble

Then virtue comes home in different colors
Perfection described with a simple cotton piece
Shall I stop gazing and scream at my eyes
That I may wallow some more in wonderland

I became encircled by her charms
And promised to make a stable while she stood over the skies
Then I looked upwards in amazement
And saw the heavens smile
