Heavenly Homecoming Poem by B. V. Dahlen

Heavenly Homecoming

“Welcome, Welcome”! Angels smiled.
“We were expecting you”.
“Our Father told us be prepared
To welcome quite a few”.

“You ask what happened? ...Let it be”.
“That tale will take a spell”.
“Just be assured that you are safe,
And in His care as well”

“Our hospitality is renown”.
“You’ll find we’ll do our best”.
“You’ll feel great love and comfort here,
So put your fears to rest”.

“Our choir needs some baritones,
And some sopranos too”.
“Our halo maker’s busy now
Preparing them for you,

And mansions stand with open doors
For you to dwell within”.
“The banquet’s been prepared and waits”.
“So now we may begin”.

'There is a place for everyone'.
'We’re glad that you are here'.
'There is no room for earthly grief'.
'Nor any point for fear'.

'You’ll notice that you stand with some
Who’s faces sport all hues,
Both those who follow Allah’s call,
And other faiths and views'.

'You all are welcome', angels said,
'Here in your Father’s home'.
''Allahu Akbar' some may say''.
''While others say 'Shalom''.

''Though many proclaim 'Jesus saves',
'Jehovah is my Lord',
Or bow before 'Lord Buddha',
One Father we've adored.'

'For malice has been left behind
With fire, dust and smoke'.
God’s peace and love enveloped all
With words the angel spoke.
