Her Island Poem by Milton Wayne

Her Island

I been swimming in the ocean of my emotions for sometime.
I survive many whirlpools that could of consume me.
There are days my arms got tired and I began to sink.
What allows me to keep moving forward are the thoughts of you waiting for me on shore.
Many ships sail by and ask for me to be on deck but from a distance I watch there ships go under fast.
There are moments I cry but the water comfort them.
I'm going in my own pace so it may take time for me to get to you but I promise I will be there soon my love.
