Here Is My Story, Here Is My Tell, Here Is My Myth Poem by Natasha Caroline Norville

Here Is My Story, Here Is My Tell, Here Is My Myth

Here is my story,
Here is my tell,
Here is my myth,
So listen
To a tell
Of mystery and wonder.

It all begins on an unfaithful day
When my momma went to the doctor
And the Doctor said
'I'm sorry madam but you have cancer.
And there is nothing I can do.'
Well that just did not suet will
With my mother as you can imagine.
So she whent to another doctor.
And the Doctor said
'I'm sorry madam but you have cancer.
And there is nothing I can do.'

Each time she went to a doctor, she was unsatisfied.
For each time she went to a doctor
They said the very same thing.
I found myself losing faith.
But then came that sweet day
When she found a doctor who would operate
On that sweet day
When the doctor at Duke University said
I can do an operation.
I began to have faith.

My mom did the operation
And since then the cancer as not come back.
That's my mom for you
She's a fighter;
A survivor.
I guess it wasn't her time to go
So she was healed.

That's the end
Of my story
Of my tell
Of this myth
There isn't any more to tell
Of how my mom survived an illness
That should have killed her.
