Hidden - Poem by Alixis Whitwer

A broken heart
Shielded by a smiling face
A crushed spirit
Hidden by a laughing girl
A soul torn in two
Covered by a happy mask
A ruined life
Held together by will
All revealed by a knife
All shown by a river of blood
All thrown into the ground with a dead body
