High Blue Country Poem by Jonathan Platt

High Blue Country

Rating: 4.5

Have you heard of that high blue country,
Where the flowers never sleep?
Where sincere smiles are worn on faces,
Where the citizens never weep.
The stars are as close as neighbors,
Rainbows are grown in the fields,
Dreams can be caught in the meadows,
The sky can be touched in the hills.

Have you heard of that high blue country,
Where the birds nest in the clouds?
The quiet is to everyone's liking,
The noise their is never too loud.
At night you can stroll along moonbeams,
In the evening you can climb golden rays,
The trees will accompany if you wish
And supply you their cooling shade.

I know you've heard of that high blue country,
Where light emerged from dark depths.
Where creation bloomed from a tiny seed,
Where love took its first steps,
Where peace is the law unbroken,
Where beauty encompasses all,
Where the ones we have lost will be waiting,
Out beyond low green country's wall.
