Where am I?
That question crosses every boundary—
It belongs neither to being nor non-being.
I am That
which no direction can contain,
and no span of time can measure.
I have not descended into form,
nor can any form confine me.
I am Manifestation—
but not incarnation.
I am Nearness—
but not mingling.
No particle truly knows me,
no single thing is my essence—
yet all that exists
exists by my Being.
I am not seen,
yet I uphold the act of seeing.
I am not the word,
but the breath that gives it meaning.
I am not silence,
but the Stillness
from which all sound arises.
If you wish to know me,
do not look outward.
Do not ascend the heavens,
nor delve into the past.
Journey inward
to that place
where the 'I' shatters,
and every claim turns to ash.
There,
you will not remain,
nor will 'I'—
only Being endures,
its own proof.
I am the Truth—
but no slogan.
I am Reality—
but no concept.
I am both Revealed
and Concealed—
in a single instant:
Beyond pleasure,
beyond likeness,
beyond limit.
Why seek me?
I am evident in your own clarity.
So abandon the search—
for I am not found in distance.
I am that Nearness
which needs no veil.
