Hold On Poem by SHISHIR RANA

Hold On

As the dark clouds cover,

The cool breeze starts blowing,

As the weather becomes a freezer,

Hold on brother, He is there,

When sadness surrounds,

You will not find one to share,

Gradually when the heart beat slows,

Hold on friend, He is near,

When disappointments start embracing,

The taste of Bile juice reaches,

Your mouth and soul, my brother,

Hold on, He is coming for you,

As the chill touches your bones,

The fear of falling encloses,

And when people turn their backs,

Hold on, He is beside you, holding your finger,

Love is what goes on to bind,

Like a mother pampers her child,

As a mother bird feeds her crying young lings,

His hands on your shoulder supports,

So when you are walking on an unknown path,

Full of thorns and rocks,

When your friend also runs away,

Hold on, your dear Lord is the true friend,

Who never gets angry or leaves in the middle, nay,

And takes you through the right path as you hold,

Oh! My dear Swami,

Your love is the sweetest of all,

You are always beside one,

Even in one's ups and downs of life,

As a true friend walking beside even before I one know thee,

I thereby, surrender my soul and life,

At Your Lotus Feet.
