Honey Gold Poem by Mary Champion

Honey Gold

A jar filled with gold
alchemy of the sunlight
pure, sweet, silk honey.

The lavender bush
is buzzing with bumble-bees
harvesting honey.

This is a good year
for the rosemary flowers
bees in blue heaven.

Motionless water
beneath a gold spangled veil
reflects the star-light.

Gold-fish in a bowl
circumnavigates his world
in desperation.
