Honey, Please Poem by Alexis Weiermann

Honey, Please

Your grades are slipping,
Your attitude is going pissy.
It's my fault.
I'm sorry.
I distract you all day.

I should give you a week,
Maybe two,
To get things straightned out.

You need to breathe,
And focus on school.
I'll forever be yours,
But school will not.

Please honey, take a week or two,
Get some rest,
Pull up your grades,
And just think things through.

When you go to bed
Tell yourself 'she's forever mine',
And if you wake in the night,
Close your eyes and tell yourself 'she loves me',
When you wake in the morning,
Tell yourself 'she's only mine'.
Then go on with the day with a grin.
Just please honey,
Remember that I'll always love you!
