Hoping For A Miracle Poem by kendall cook

Hoping For A Miracle

Heart pounding, Palms sweating
blood rushing, breathing heavy
Hoping for a miracle that may never come true
You enter my life so forcefully
Shattering my reality
Bringing me to my knees
please don’t make me hurt
Don’t make me travel down that lonely road
Hoping for a miracle that may never come true
Over and over again, I’m a slave to you
You don’t even know what you do to me
And yet all I can do is think about you
What’s going on
I tried but with great gusto
My world is crumbling
Crashing down before my eyes
It feels so wrong but so right
How can I stop it
Losing control and watching it fall
I’m stuck in this world of pain
And yet I don’t care at all
