Hourglass Poem by Jacob Kobina Ayiah Mensah

Hourglass

They spent the light
without you
without replacing
new fires
the children dusted
the stars
and the sky
became blackout
he was there
in the window
watching
the kites
flying up
and up
till he lost the world
in the owl's eyes
and night
became everywhere
