House Of Lies Poem by Michael P. Johnson

House Of Lies

No house of lies can steadfast stand
However wide or tall
Foundations built on verbal sand
Will surely one day fall

Regardless what deceit we try
Excuses all are lame
God’s Son won’t stand for any lie
For Truth’s His middle name

Deceit will always end in strife
If now it fails to kneel
For Christ The Way The Truth & Life
Will all one day reveal

Disguised behind a charming sound
Amidst the sweetest tune
A house not built on solid ground
Will surely come to ruin

However high however deep
What place we seek to hide
The seed we’ve sown we’ll also reap
Beyond the great divide

Pretending lies are sweet and white
Behind a fancy name
Concealed within their mask of light
They too will meet the flame

Condemned with shame to endless fire
Liars to endless pain
Unless God’s grace they now acquire
Repent and start again

Bid Christ God’s Lamb to intervene
Confess each crimson flaw
Allow His blood all rooms to clean
To Satan lock the door…
