Marching we forget,
Walking we remember
The purpose of care
The purpose of love
Of motherly love.
In battles we crawl
Like maggots we slither
That motherly shelter
We cry out in vain.
From heart aches and hurts
We try to evade
The scars though are deep
And keep getting deeper
Like puppies we seek
With lack of direction
That motherly shelter
We cry out in vain.
From screams left unheard
From fears left un faced
From deep solitude
Like babies we reach
That motherly shelter
We cry out in vain.
That motherly shelter,
Is all that we look for
When we fall in need
Adopt the position
Of baby in womb
No matter the nature,
No matter the age,
