How Quickly You Forget Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

How Quickly You Forget

How Quickly You Forget
While participating in funeral procession
Your heart cries for ceased person.
You perceive the bitter reality of death.
As soon as you return and induldge in
Your daily transactions of profit & loss.
Your consciousness about mortality
Extinguishers like flame of a candle.
Indeed, the world is beyond expectation.
It doesn't want to encapsulate
Death as an ultimate truth of life.
No doubt, the world is really wonderful
Hypocrisy is its undeniable feature.
