How Will Life Be Now? Poem by Azeem Islam

How Will Life Be Now?

Rating: 5.0

How will life be now,
When the dreams have all shattered,
When the paths have all changed,
Heart's whispers are weeping,
Eyes' dreams are estranged.

How will life be now,
When focus no longer holds,
Memories bind like chains,
Every moment a question,
Waiting for answers untold.

How will life be now,
When laughter fades to gray,
When joys' vivid hues,
Seem to have lost their way,
Solitude's shadow casts, in disarray.

How will life be now,
When past sorrows embed,
Tomorrow's reflection,
Is nowhere to be read,
Stones on the path, a pain to tread.

How will life be now,
When hope's light grows dim,
Moonlit nights lose their glow,
Heartbeats sound a grim hymn,
Silence speaks in shadows' brim.

How will life be now,
When the heart's world is bare,
To build new dreams afresh,
Heal the old wounds with care,
Raise the sun of new hope, fair.
