How Will You Decide? Poem by Michael P. Johnson

How Will You Decide?

Most fail to know life's Sovereign King
Worldwide wandering lost
Ignorant royal praise to sing
At such enormous cost

Seeking to live on easy street
Life's foul unseemly goal
Without His grace, His love complete
The soothing of one's soul

Deep, always inside there's yearning
Emptiness always there
Selfishly never discerning
The wealth He has to share

Creator of the universe
Of all we hear and see
Always willing to converse
With such as you and me

The bible reveals quite clearly
Truth we can be sure
Willing, wanting us dearly
To enter Heaven's Door

But the world continues sinning
Revolving steeped in shame
Countless losing, fewer winning
Believing in The Name

Jesus The Lord, God's Son, God's Christ
Full God, full man complete
To set us free was sacrificed
Causing death's utter defeat

What will you do with this outcome?
What will the future tell
Will you be wise, or foolish dumb
In Heaven, or in hell.....
