Humans Poem by Daniel Cherenet

Humans

Rating: 4.0

in this journey of life
we remain a part of something great
but if this planet remains to live without
the support of humans how great does it make us?

how great does it feel to know that
your presence has neutral force
your greatest achievements and
modifications to this world only magnifies your weakness

every step you take only gets you
farther from your innocence as a human
to understand the simple fact that a fetus
is more righteous than the wisest and richest of all

but yet we all wish for another day
with the hope to fix our mistakes of yesterday
and ease down our belligerent conscious which speaks
the truth without fear of judgment

it remains self evident that no one man
can attain full righteous in this state of
body but only in spirit so each day i learn
that the closer i am with my conscious i will always be right
