Hunger Poem by Cin Sweet

Hunger

feasting all you want, can
toss the lefts in the garbage can
felt your tummy, ah, could lose a few
giggling, eating the last bite of it
a delicious chocolate mousse
does it slay your pet goat
fishhook you in your compassionate eye
that people, living all around this globe
every minute, every day
bellies swell and stab them
in the back with the pain and reality
of hunger.
