Hush Poem by Reginald Goodridge

Hush

Let us be hushed
listen to each other
beating hearts amplified
if we could just shut our mouths
Watch my eyes lower
hand me your hand
we'll take the longest route
to expel, yes 'over-stand' our doubts

Please believe this hush
are all your fragrances so sweet?
could it be that my nostrils can breath
now that we have hushed our senses
with a moment so pure
the sky bows and stars greet us
between heaven and lush earth
we can be diction-less, without tenses

If only we hush
focus on each others colors
breathe deep signs of relief
that we have hushed and opened minds
my time piece is frozen
your spectacles are cracked
just us, no technological wonders
we will explore, travel somewhere, hushed and fine...
