Hydration Poem by Eric Niehoff

Hydration

Drained of moisture, salty skin
Seizing muscles from within

A human oasis around the curve
To again replenish my reserve

Weakened from a grueling race
I struggle to maintain my pace

A cup containing my salvation
Gulping down a cool sensation

Refreshed again, increasing stride
Hope again, a turning tide
