Hymn Of Nearness Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Hymn Of Nearness

Before the wandering began,
a silent hymn—
an unspoken breath
from the Beloved's core—
wove the infinite:
a secret melody from which
all longing rises,
a light untouched by time,
the one Radiant Presence:
the Knower, the Known,
and the very act of Knowing.

Through the wilderness of form
the true Self walks—
a forgotten Name,
an echo of the First Word,
veiled by the world,
dimmed by the illusion of separation.

Yet it stirs awake
whenever a spark of Hidden Beauty
glimmers through the quiet weave of things.

In the heart's twilight,
divine thoughts descend
like gentle visitations—
breaths from the Realm of the Real,
gathering into shapes of light
that press upon the soul's mirror,
seeking to reveal
what had never been concealed.

Silence becomes a mihrab,
a niche pointing us home.
Here, remembrance flows
like an ancient river returning to its source.

Within its current, the wayfarer feels
the primordial Covenant—
the question: "Am I not your Lord? "
and the soul's eternal reply: "Yes."

And here, the Self hears again
its hidden melody—
the music known before birth,
woven from the Beloved's breath.

It rises as a hymn of Nearness,
where all yearning turns transparent,
and as a hymn of Oneness,
where the many dissolve
into the single Radiant Presence—
the Beloved,
who is the Knower, the Known,
and Knowing itself.
