I Am Leaving My Identity With You Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

I Am Leaving My Identity With You

I Am Leaving My Identity With You
After satisfaction of my physical need
I struggled my entire life to ensure my identity
Social recognition turned destiny of my life
A thirst for self respect, never satisfied.
Now, I am leaving affiliated identity of mine
For my fellows and my world.
The word like I and me that
Divided between you and me.
Nurturing ego inside me.
Nothing I have to carry...
I need to satisfy with
Perpetual light within me.
Recall moments of memory
That I had shared with you all
In form of pleasure and pain.
After destruction of my enitity in pyre.
Like other living creatures, me too
Not allowed to carry it with me in heaven.
Where everyone is equal in eyes of Lord.
No rich no poor, no wise no fool, no intellectual
No use of your intelligence, there.
Like a drop water that loses its individual identity
In the process of joining infinite Sea.
